"How lovely on the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who announces peace and brings good news of happiness, who announces salvation and says to Zion, 'Your God reigns!'"--Isaiah 52:7

Miracles & Virtues

Have you experienced a "miracle" in your life?  Have you witnessed something "miraculous"?  Have you seen the "miracle" of a baby being born?  Or considered the "miracle" of "mortal enemies" becoming best friends?  Have you ever said "He/She will never change," about someone else or yourself, and then seen the change happen that you had predicted "never" would?   Have you ever wondered HOW "X" could have happened or WHO could have changed so-and-so's mind?

Many times, anything beyond our knowledge or understanding is called a miracle.  By Encarta's definition, a miracle is 1. an act of God, 2. an amazing event, or 3. a marvelous example¹.

In Jeremiah 32:27, God states "Behold, I am YHVH, the God of all flesh:  is anything too difficult for Me?"

Beyond Amazing... Anything...

Anything... pretty much covers it all...  What miracles or amazing things have you seen, witnessed, realized?

What Miracle(s) Have You Witnessed?

The One Who Covers All...

"Now when John in prison heard of the works of Christ, he sent word by his disciples, and said to Him, 'Are You the Expected One, or shall we look for someone else?'  And Jesus answered and said to them, 'Go and report to John what you hear and see:  the blind receive sight and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear, and the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.  And blessed is he who keeps from stumbling over Me.'"²

The Kingdom of Heaven

Have you ever considered the "Most Amazing Every Day Miracle" of personally knowing the Creator of the Universe?  Is this what Jesus meant when He proclaimed "The Kingdom of heaven is at hand."?3

In Matthew 4:4, Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds from the mouth of God."  Note, "proceeds" is present tense, and some versions use "comes" instead of "proceeds."

Do You Know His Voice?

Conversations with God are an experience "common" to all who seek Him.  Many times when we pray, it's a very one-sided conversation; however, the Living God of the Universe hears every thought we have.  And is patiently waiting for us to hear Him.  While it may not be common that we hear His voice audibly in the physical realm, anyone who has met Jesus will verify hearing The Lord in their spirit and recognizing the truth of His words in their innermost being and feeling His overwhelming love.

As a parent, can you imagine going a whole day without talking to your children?  We realize that communication and interaction are vital to learning and understanding.

Just as we wish for our children to come to us with every curiosity, concern, care, cough, or celebration, even more so the Creator of the Universe loves and desires to hold, teach, guide, protect, bless, delight in, and produce fruit in us.

Jesus said "It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life."7

Have you ever considered how amazing...

Have you ever considered how amazing people are?  Think for a moment about the millions of cells in our bodies?  Or the thousands(?) of thoughts that pass through your mind on any given day...

Do you recognize the voices in your head?  Have you ever wondered where some of those thoughts come from?

Our minds are a fascinating place, and a lot of what we "learn" and consequently think and believe is subconsciously or even unconsciously absorbed.

Look at the fact that babies "learn" to walk and talk without being taught HOW.  The innate desire to move, to go, to explore is evident, as is their ability to make noise.  And before long, they're walking and talking (in whatever language they've heard) just by the experience of interaction.

As parents, we desire to teach our kids everything we know and for them to be happy, right?  As they grow into their teenage years, we wish they would listen to us...  Why?  Because (at least some of the time) we, the parents, DO know what is best for them!

So when are we, all of humanity, going to realize that our Heavenly Father really does know best, and that He wants to talk and converse with us, and share His perfect plan for each of our lives?  "but just as it is written, 'Things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard, and which have not entered the heart of man, all that God has prepared for those who love Him.'"4

Now, That's Amazing!

Have you ever considered how amazing God is?  Of all those thousands of thoughts that flit through your mind, He knows every one...  and every thought of everyone... every day, all day, everywhere...5  And cares enough to listen to us, to answer us, to help us...  Now, that's amazing!

How many times a day do we stop and ask Him what He thinks or knows or has planned?  And then listen for the answer?

Did you know that we are to "prove (test, see for yourself) what the will (choice/plan) of God is, that which is good and acceptable (well-pleasing) and perfect?"6

What a deal!

We have found, and therefore believe, that if and when we listen to God's voice, His message of Love Is clearly evident.
